ICCS has organized a number of international conferences, published books and journals. More recent initiatives include collaboration with Maoris of New Zealand, Native Indian Tribes of North and South America, Indigenous people of Africa and Romuva people of Europe

Volunteers run ICCS. There are no paid employees. Finance is raised from members. There is a
$20 annual membership fee, $100 for a life membership and those who donate more than $100
are designated as Patrons. The bulk of communication is done electronically, keeping operating
costs very low. Telephone and mail communication is conducted only as required. Selling books
and conference CDs in order to offset the costs of producing these items raises some money.
ICCS is in the process of seeking funds from philanthropic foundations.
